Global Women to Watch recognition launched by AICPA & CIMA

The awards acknowledge the contributions of emerging and experienced leaders in the accounting profession. Nominations are accepted through mid-January.

A new initiative to celebrate and honour women who are experienced and emerging leaders in the profession was announced Thursday by AICPA & CIMA, which operate together as the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.

The Global Women to Watch recognition is designed to “amplify the global voices” of women who are making significant contributions to the accounting profession, according to a news release.

Nominations for Global Women to Watch for 2025 are open until 15 January 2025. Finalists will be chosen by AICPA & CIMA’s Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee.

An experienced leader is defined as a professional who has advanced to a senior level or leadership position within her organisation. An emerging leader is defined as a professional who has made significant contributions to the profession and her community but has not yet reached senior levels of leadership.

More information about the criteria for each category can be found on the nomination form.
