Video transcript:

Offering insights to others without expecting anything in return is that added value proposition that we want to put ourselves in. Nobody asks you to have to go the extra mile, but it doesn’t mean you couldn’t do it. If you could help someone today, try and do it. Don’t expect anything back in return, because, guess what, they will help you someday. Build that relationship today – that’s how you can strengthen your team and you can expand your relationship.

It’s not the typical accountant-to-accountant. We are working across the organisation. We worked with everyone. It’s important to understand and help them now. Offer help. The givers – if you’ve read the Give and Take book or the Givers Deliver book, I love it, because it resonates well with me. That’s what I always try to do without realising, and the rewards are often more than what one would expect. And it’s that job satisfaction, helping someone feel more inspired and motivated. They help your team along the way, and they don’t expect anything in return, either, because you’ve done it for them.
